…with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in Photography & Digital Imaging from Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Fine Arts, Melissa Hon Tsai takes her passion for design and creativity to all aspects of her life and work. 

Having grown up and lived in New York City, the day-to-day experiences coupled with the diverse environment have influenced the style Melissa brings to her practice, challenging all facets.  Her understanding and appreciation of texture, pattern, color and together with how things are crafted have greatly impacted her designs. 

Melissa began her career as a design architect, working within various sized firms on a variety of projects with  numerous retail clients, where she has flourished.  After years in the design field and having received her Architectural License, she transitioned into project managing in real estate development for Vornado Realty Trust in New York.  Her ability to manage and coordinate a range of entities has boded well for her future endeavors. 

With these skills, she is able to provide a variety of services, from two dimensional graphic design to spatial applications of interiors and architecture, to the all encompassing wedding/event planning.  In addition, her blog will help connect her with potential clients and her audience on a more personal level reflecting on what she loves, what inspires her, what she believes in, what she wants to learn, what she lives for, and many more. 

Recently married and currently living in Montgomery, Alabama, Melissa starts a new life and a new career, venturing on her own to bring the artistic creative world to fruition.  With new surroundings and a desire to explore the endless possibilities of design, she hopes to bring new inspirations to the people around her.
